I was talking with my oldest daughter Heaven about my mission with the ice cream and how I love informational Easter eggs in everything I do. I thought of chocolate and what flavors can represent. I told her I wanted the chocolate to be the flavor that represented all walks of life, acceptance and richness. Almost as if it would be so smooth, and rich that it would feel like love for ALL. An inclusive love in a scoop EVERYONE could enjoy! She blurted out “Poetically Correct! That’s the name!” I thought it was absolutely brilliant!!!!!! I fell in love !
I was raised by parents that were a lot more progressive than they knew. We respected all walks of life, we were taught to mind our business, and that no one was better than anyone. Even down to LGBTQ+ community, that wasn’t called that back then but we knew of gay and trans people and I watched my parents address them how they wanted to be addressed and they had no care! They just showed respect.
It was so natural to them because it was just them being themselves. People that respect other PEOPLE.
That’s how poetically correct was born. It’s love in a scoop for all!
